Clemens Iller | CEO
Clemens Iller, a business graduate of the University of Tübingen, has been CEO at SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH AG since April 1, 2014. He was acting CFO as well from March 1, 2015 to March 31, 2015. He launched his career at Amphenol-Tuchel-Electronics in 1989, moving into the steel industry initially as General Manager Export Sales at Rasselstein Hoesch GmbH in 1995. He assumed various positions of responsibility at ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG from 1999 onwards. From 2009 to the end of 2012 he headed up the Business Area Stainless Global/Inoxum of the listed German entity ThyssenKrupp AG and served as Chairman of the Management Board of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta GmbH. As Hold Separate Manager in 2013, he was responsible for compliance with EU requirements in the Inoxum/Outokumpu merger. Until mid-2017 Clemens Iller was a member of the Advisory Board of Imperial Logistics International B.V. & Co. KG, and he was a member of the Shareholders’ Committee of UnionStahl Holding GmbH until mid-2018.
Matthias Wellhausen | CFO
Matthias Wellhausen, banking professional and graduate economist from the University of Hamburg, has been CFO at SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH since April 1 2015. Mr. Wellhausen began his career in 1984 at the Landesbank in Kiel in the strategic planning department. Two years later he joined IBM, where he held various positions in financial management in Stuttgart and Paris. In 1996 he moved to the steel industry as CFO at EKO-Stahl. With the integration of EKO-Stahl into the ArcelorMittal Group, he was involved in building up the Group in various CFO positions in Luxembourg, most recently as CFO of the listed company in South Africa. The focus of his extensive experience lies in corporate financing as well as in cost and asset management, and in the implementation and integration of international structures.
Josef Schultheis | CRO
The restructuring expert Josef Schultheis has been CRO of SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH AG since August 12, 2020. Mr Schultheis has more than 30 years of management and consulting experience in operational restructuring, liquidity management and financing negotiations. As a full member of the Group Executive Board, Josef Schultheis will use his experience as CRO to drive the transformation even more intensively. In this way, SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH will be able to counter the drastic to deal with the COVID-19 crisis more effectively.
